UNIVERSITY OF LJUBLIANA
The Laboratory of Energy Policy (LEST) operates within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana (UL). The scope of our work covers mainly the strategies in the electricity market, generation planning in energy systems, development of energy solutions, renewable energy sources implementation and smart grids. As a research institution, we impart our knowledge through postgraduate studies, bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral theses and conferences, seminars and workshops. In scientific work, we follow the principle of practical applicability of scientific methods that we develop.
Role in epowermove
UL will lead key tasks in WP3 and WP5, focusing on multi-level architecture for bi-directional EV charging coordination (T3.1) and business models for large-scale V2G deployment (T5.1). In T3.1, UL will design an architecture integrating EV charging, RES, and flexible loads while ensuring grid stability through standardised data exchange.
In T5.1, UL will develop innovative V2G business models, addressing different user needs and revenue opportunities, including “Battery-as-a-Service.” Their work will enhance interoperability, optimize economic benefits, and support mass adoption of V2G technology.
